Hijab: Oppression Or Protection

People all over the world must've listened about Hijab or Niqab and may have oppossed it or supported it..So, this blog of mine is all about Hijab and why is it necessary. Also, we will go through many other interesting and unknown points in this blog.

WHAT IS MODESTY?

According to the definition by cambridge university, the quality of not talking about or not trying to make people notice your abilities and achievements, the quality in women of dressing or behaving in a way that is intended to avoid attract any kind of interest is MODESTY.

As per my opinion, modesty is the way in which any person regardless of gender wear their clothes, speaks their words and behaves with everyone. With elaboration, modesty lies in the way in which a men/women speaks .i.e. When they are speaking they aren't harming anyone or their words aren't double meaning or tempted to spread displeasing information. When they are wearing something then their clothes isn't too tight to show their body's shape or not open from shoulders or anywhere. When they are behaving they know how to be calm and responsive and how to not behave  foul.

As we now know the definition of Modesty we can go further with the points..
    

Different Religions On Modesty.

As long as we heard and listened, most of people don't knows that every religion asks their followers to be modest. Yes, not only islam but each and every religion have this rule. However in Islam, it has given the most priority or we can say that Modesty is Islam's distinct function. Let me know you what different religious books states about modesty.

• AS PER CHRISTIANITY.

"Likewise, also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braid and gold or pearls or costly attires." (Bible, 1. Timothy 2:9).

• AS PER JUDAISM.

"he classical symbol of Tzniut(modesty) is the veil. It bespeaks privacy." (Isaiah, 3:18)

{isaiah is the book of jews people).

• AS PER ISLAM.

" Undoubtedly, Modesty and Faith are connected together so when one gets away, the other is taken away. (Al-mustadrak lil- Hakim, vol.1, pp, 176. Hadees 66)

• AS PER HINDUISM.

"When Brahma has made you a women, you should not look up. You should put your feet together and you should not reveal what the garments and the veil conceals". (Rigveda 8, hymn 33, verse 19).

• AS PER BUDDHISM.

"I hope there were no laypeople around at the time'. When this comment was reported back to the Buddha, he remarked: `Good! Very good! He is genuinely modest and does not want his good qualities to be known to others. So you can truly say that Hatthaka is adorned with this eighth wonderful and marvellous quality Ý modesty"(A.IV,218).

As i stated before, modesty is the key of every religion and almost every religion's followers in their own ways are modest. But, there comes hundered of questions when it comes to hijab, the islamic way of being modest. So, why is there problem in hijab? For this, let us first know what is hijab.

HIJAB:

Hijab is an Islamic concept of modesty and privacy, most notably expressed in women's clothing that covers most of the body. Although firmly rooted in Islamic tradition, Hijab is the way from which Muslim womens covers themselves just as same as christian nuns covers themselves with Wimple.

WHY IS HIJAB CONSIDERS AS OPPRESSION?

When it comes to muslims and hijab many religions and their followers raises their voice in oppose. Such people mostly oppose Hijab by saying that it is an oppression to the womens of islam however i still can't get it that how can a religion who'd always gave womens equal rights and all the values can oppress them?

Hijab is not an oppression but a way of signifying that how beautifully islam has covered its most beautiful gems(womens). Many Foreigners and non-muslims says that hijab is the way from which Muslims makes their womens reticent, which is absolutely wrong because as with Hijab womens grabs their confidence and can share her points more effectiently as she don't needs to think about people's ugly point of views on their clothes or on their body.

WHY IS HIJAB PROTECTION?

In this era where womens are not safe at all Hijab is like a bodyguard to each one of them. As from this way, women never gets into people's attention due to the loose clothings. Moreover, Hijab is the way in which a women feels protected, from which their lives becomes little easy in the world full of mess.

CONCLUSION:

Hijab is the thing which is not an opression at all and from one or another way each of the religion gives the same message of covering their womens, as if Islam is doing it more significantly then what's the problem in that?

 If a women is wearing Hijab it doesn't mean she is opressed but that she is enough brave to wear a heavy crown like this and she is enough courageous to follow her religion even after knowing that the whole world will point her and her nature.
