The Philosophy Of Acceptism

Image
The human mind has incredible capacity to search for things, purpose and cause behind every event that occurs but this is the same curiosity that disturbs the human mind the most as well. Mostly, we are curious to find the reason behind everything but once we get to know the cause and its not as we thought it would be, we start to excuse our own reasonings. Because sometimes the truth isn't so easy to understand, sometimes its so bitter that one thinks they had been better off living with lies instead. The philosophy of Acceptism deals with this state of not wanting to accept the reality. Now comes the questions what is acceptism? The path toward acceptance asks two questions:  1). Can this be changed? and 2). If the answer is no, what work needs to be done to accept this, emotional or otherwise? When you’ve accepted something, you don’t have an outburst every time it surfaces. True acceptance only leaves room to be pleasantly surprised. Acceptance yields fre...

Beyond Borders: Insights from Nicola Yoon's The Sun Is Also A Star

I was fourteen when I read The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon, and she instantly became my favorite author, and even now she still is. Looking back at that book, I realize that my mind was too young to fully understand the complexities of every character. That book was and is a masterpiece. But this blog isn't about praising Nicola Yoon or TSIAS; it's about a quote from that book. In the middle of the book, Daniel writes a poem based on his situation with Natasha that goes: I will stay on my Side. And you will stay on an- other Now, this poem is what comes to my mind whenever I think about Nicola Yoon, the book, or any failed relationship (not necessarily a romantic one). We come across many people in our lives, and each person has some effect on us, be it good or bad. Some people stick with us until the end, while some get separated along the way, and this poem by Daniel explains it so perfectly. In many failed relationships, one perso...

Indian Education System

Image
Hey everyone,    I wasn't able to write anything since my exams are approaching but yeah, here is the time i got...and here is the thing i observed which is really burden some.         INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM: A system which only tests your memory power and not that what you understood, The system which only wants percentages and not the real employment, The system which only cares about 100% result and not about student's mental health. I still remember when i was a little kid studying in KG i was used to be such a brilliant girl who LEARNS everything but not unrerstanding it. Now, when i look back i just feels ashamed of what i was because i had just mugged up the topic, what had been happened if someone asked me the meaning. Well, i didn't care of it at that time, neither do my parents or teacher did as all they wanted were percentages and grades which i was getting. What i lacked for was, the real knowledge and real meaning of...

EGO: The Destroyer Of Relations...

"EGO" this  word which can easily destroy a healthy relationship within seconds. It can be define as a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance. Ego becames an issue when it becomes overpowering. Ego has its two sides positive and negative. But, mostly everyone knows about the negative side of ego only.         The positive side of ego can be define as solid, healthy and strong sense of self. In this regard ego is quiet essential for everyone. This word ego was first used by john deway in an article with a different perspective, and probably it was not suppose to be used as a negative word like we did.             I got an idea to write on this topic by real events which i witnessed. Recently when my friend had a fight with her friend,  she told me about this matter and i suggest her to say sorry and finish the mess but she said "no why should i? Like if she want to talk she will apologize am not going...
